Background
We seek Research Technician / Laboratory manager in the Dulvy lab (www.dulvy.com) at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia. Applicants should have a keen interest in fish biology and physiology. The project seeks to connect fish respiratory morphology to life histories and ecological performance.

Job Description
The ideal candidate for this position is well organized and an excellent communicator. They will be work well with others and value participation in a leading research lab. Qualified applicants will have previous laboratory research experience, especially in fish dissections and microscopy work; they will be detail- and task-oriented. The main duties are to support a large-scale fish sampling program and fish gill dissection project. Other tasks may include data-mining, data management, and laboratory administration, including safety, permitting, data and sample curation. A successful applicant should be adaptable and capable of learning new skills.
